Client FAQs
Whether you’re managing a fit-out project or planning short-term site cover, here’s everything you need to know before booking through The Worksite Hub.
1️⃣ How do I hire a general labourer through The Worksite Hub?
Create a free client account, browse verified profiles based on skills and experience, choose duration and confirm by paying the booking fees. Once you choose a labourer, they’ll have up to 12 hours to confirm your booking.
2️⃣ How does the booking fee work?
The Worksite Hub charges a simple flat booking fee of £9.99 per day, per labourer, payable when request is submitted.
No percentage cuts from labourers
No mark-ups on hourly rates
No long-term contracts
Labourers are paid directly by the client under CIS, at a rate agreed and confirmed before the booking starts.
The £9.99 booking fee covers:
Labourer verification & vetting
Availability confirmation
Booking admin & coordination
Replacement support if required
What you see is what you pay — no hidden costs.
3️⃣ Who pays the labourer, and how?
Payments are made directly between Client and the labourer based on approved timesheets as per the pre defined Tier rates. The Worksite Hub is not part of the payment process.
4️⃣ How do I receive timesheets or confirm work completion?
Labourers will have their hours checked and agreed with your site manager each day. At the end of the week, they’ll submit a weekly timesheet along with their CIS invoice to your accounts team — copying in the site manager as confirmation that the hours have been approved.
Once reviewed, you can process payment directly to the labourer under CIS.
5️⃣ What happens if a labourer doesn’t turn up or cancels last minute?
We’ll help arrange a verified replacement as quickly as possible, or refund the booking fee for the missed day.
6️⃣ Are labourers vetted before joining the platform?
Yes — every profile is manually reviewed for ID, CSCS card, CIS details, and key certifications before going live.
7️⃣ Can I choose who I hire?
Absolutely. You can filter labourers by tier (Starter, Pro, Lead), skills, certifications, and ratings from previous projects.
8️⃣ Is The Worksite Hub insured?
Yes — the platform has professional and public liability cover for its operations. Each labourer, as a self-employed worker, should have their own insurance, or be covered under your site policy.
9️⃣ What if I’m unhappy with performance or behaviour on site?
You can leave feedback directly on their profile and contact The Worksite Hub team. We investigate all reports and may remove labourers who don’t meet professional standards.
🔟 Can I hire for continuous or long-term work?
Yes — we offer long-term booking discounts and can help you build a reliable team of site support crew for ongoing projects.
